My Inspiration for Danica’s font is the Damask pattern. I think it reflects Danica’s personality. Very artistic yet very simple and sophisticated. She wanted something with curves but not too “scripty”.
So for this process, these are the materials I used.
STEP 1: Cut the cardboard in the size of the font you want.
STEP 2: Using the same card board, trace the the curve you want using a pencil.
STEP 3: Cut the cardboard. This is going to be the pattern for the fonts.
STEP 4: Using the rest of the card board, make two lines. This is going to help to align your fonts and make it the same size.
STEP 5: Using the curve pattern, trace the stem.
STEP 6: Using 1 MICRON, darken the stem. At the tip of the stem, make a little detail to attain the same look of the damask pattern we are going for.
STEP 7: Make a pattern to add thickness, and fill it out with GRAPHIC 03 pen.
STEP 8: Add the rest of the details, using the 1 MICRON.
STEP 9: Erase the rest of pencil marks.
STEP 10: For a better presentation, use your imagination and creativity. =)
Hope you guys enjoyed! Have an awesome break! =)
